Burt's Bees Radiance SPF 15 Day Lotion

Burt's Bees Radiance SPF 15 Day Lotion

What Burt's Bees Says:
Bring out the radiance. Help block out the sun.

Formulated with Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide to provide broad-spectrum protection from the sun’s harmful rays, this day lotion can help reduce the risk of early skin aging and the development of fine lines and wrinkles associated with UVA/UVB exposure. It also has Calendula and Golden Seal Extracts to calm and soften, so you’ll get naturally radiant, younger looking skin.

Available Size: 2.0 oz (57 grams) 98.2% Natural

Where I Got it: Target

My Review:

Scent:
It does have a sent which I am not a fan of. Especially in a face lotion. But it wasn't super overpowering and it actually smells kind of nice.

Packaging:
The packaging was good. It is a pump bottle which I liked.

Consistency:
It's very thin and doesn't absorb into the skin - just feels like liquid glue. It doesn't sink in, just sits on the face. It even made me feel greasy during the day and I normally have very dry skin. So my T zone needed to be blotted but my cheeks were peeling from being so dry. It was really weird.

Overall:
I wanted to like this. Good packaging, reputable brand, no animal testing etc. I have been searching high and low for an all natural face lotion and I was extra excited because this had SPF in it. Not only did it not moisturize well, but I ended up breaking out by the end of the week.  Sadly my search will continue.

Pros:
Price
packaging
SPF
All Natural

Cons:
Breakouts
Not Moisturizing
Scent

Final Verdict:
2/10 - Yuck!

Clinique
Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm: Super Strawberry

What Clinique Says:
Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.

Available Size: .1 oz

Where I Got it: Macy's

My Review:

Scent:
I didn't notice any sent.

Packaging:
Love Love LOVE the packaging. It looks like a chubby crayon. All the tubes are different colors to match the product inside. I think they look so fun compared to a regular lip stick.

Consistency:
The consistency is nice. Its a very shear color but you can build it up. It reminds me of a tinted lip balm but it also looks shiny like a gloss. If you like build-able color that can also be worn very sheer than you will like this. If you want one swipe and bold color than this is not the product for you. Also, this is not a stain so it will wear off your lips pretty quickly if your eating and drinking.

Overall:
I have very sensitive skin and unfortunately I was allergic to this product. (I am allergic to Mango so if I had been more careful about reading the ingredients I would have realized before purchase.) I can't tell you how it killed me when I realized the reason my lips were so dry and flaky was because of the chubby stick! I seriously LOVED this product. If I wear a lip balm before applying the chubby stick I'm ok and I love the color so much that I still wear it. The fact that I am still wearing it after realizing I am allergic to it should speak volumes. I would actually buy more colors but I am hoping to find something similar that I am not allergic to.

Pros:
Build-able color
moisturizing
packaging
Lots of colors available
good price for high end

Cons:
I'm allergic to it :(
Not long lasting

Final Verdict:
9/10 - Even with the allergy

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

What Ole Henriksen Says:
Like a daily vitamin for your face, this high powered vitamin C complex helps smooth out lines and wrinkles and prevents further damage. Loaded with antioxidants to fight off environmental aggressors and moisture-binding ingredients to keep your skin nourished and protected, this aromatic serum is absorbed instantly and penetrates to the deeper layers of the skin to provide long term results. Sensitive skin prone to irritation will benefit immensely from the calming properties of this oil-free serum.

Available Size: 1 fluid oz (30ml) - 1.7 fluid oz (50ml)

Where I Got it: Sephora

My Review:

Scent:
This has an orange citrus scent. I usually don't like products to have a sent and it is a strong smell but it fades quickly. I actually really enjoy the smell of this product. It's a nice citrusy wake up in the morning.

Packaging:
I am not a huge fan of the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a pump which looks nice / high end. I don't mind the bottle but the pump can be hard to control. I find a full pump to be WAY too much product. Also when the product is nearly empty you can't get all of it out of the bottle. So that is definitely annoying considering the price.

Consistency:
The consistency is a loose serum. It's not real thick and I think it absorbs into the skin quickly. If you use too much product it could end up feeling heavy or tacky on the skin. I use this under a separate moisturizer. I spread around the face/neck easily so a little product goes a long way.

Overall:
I have dry sensitive skin that is acne prone. I LOVE this product. I think it helps brighten my complexion and has helped reduce the number of breakouts I have. There is a visible difference in my skin when I stop using this product. I almost think it adds a barrier to my skin helping prevent breakouts. I don't have a lot of fine lines so I'm not sure how much plumping action is going on. Overall I think my skin just looks healthier and brighter when using Truth Serum. I have repurchased multiple times.

Pros:
Brightened Complexion
Better Skin Texture
Non greasy
Light-weight
Helped prevent breakouts
Natural
Paraben Free

Cons:
Pricey
Not fragrance free
Packaging

Final Verdict:
8.5/10
